Depends on the style of the lower reciever what barrel you need. If you're using a AR10 Armalite lower using their magazine style then you'll need a Armalite barrel or more specifically the barrel extension.
If you're going with the DPMS/SR25/M110 style then the barrel extension will need to be a DPMS formated extension.
Other than that barrel makers will cut what ever options you want. Twist rate, length, profile ect.
