I shoot the 185 gr Juggernaut Target in F-T/R and was wondering if there's a serious POI shift if using the 185 gr OTM Tactical. I read Bergers info on the two, just seeing if anyone actually shot them and can provide some info.

I have had the same question as often you can find one or the other in stock, but not both; I have both types. Here is the reply I received from Ryan Neal @ Berger:
Hello Greg,
Our 30 Caliber 185 Juggernaut Match Target bullet and our 30 Caliber 185 Match Juggernaut OTM Tactical bullets are the same bullet. The only difference you will see is the normal lot to lot variation you would expect between 2 different runs of the same model.
Our Tactical and Target bullets both use slightly thicker jackets to prevent bullet degradation when shooting multiple rounds in succession. Our Varmint and Hunting bullets have a slightly thinner jacket so that they will expand more rapidly after penetrating an animal.
Keep in mind that not all Tactical and Target bullets are identical. For instance; the 30 Cal 230 gr Match Hybrid Target and Match Hybrid OTM Tactical are different lengths because the Tactical version is made to be able to be loaded into a magazine easier.

That said, I have a lot of both types (back-order bonanza). A couple of weeks ago I was going to load up some bullets for a match and didn't have anything pointed up so I grabbed a box of the Juggs. For the last couple of months I'd been shooting OTMs. As soon as I put one in the pointer it felt too hard. I actually dropped it on the scale to make sure I didn't have the wrong bullets (there are other Berger bullets on my bench). Nope same bullet. Checked the base to ogive with a Hornady OAL and low and behold, the lot of Juggs is 0.010 longer base to ogive than the OTMs; however, using my Forster micro seater they both seat with the same ogive and OAL measurement. So, variation lot to lot is real. (I didn't take the time to weigh a bunch and see if there was any difference, and if you are shooting all the same lot it will make no difference but I wouldn't mix lots in a match.

Everything I’ve read from 2012 to 2013 era says the same thing. I’m unsure how old the tactical are but the box is a different color and the BC is different. Not sure how they can be the same. Hoping to get further information. I’m gonna shoot them both tomorrow and see if there’s a difference in accuracy/POI, which I suspect there won’t much as they’re so similar. *Ogive is 0.675 and 0.664 Tactical and Target respectively.
