I looked but couldn't find my answer. Sorry if it's been asked a 100 times.
I've never had a quality spotting scope or even done any Digiscoping. Digiscoping is the wife's idea but I think it could be pretty fun with the right equipment.
Since I'm in the research phase and about to purchase a spotting scope in the next few weeks. Most of my rifle scopes are Nightforce and real close to buying a TS-82. Besides the price ( looking to spend my safety bonus anyway), the reviews are pretty good. I've looked but the only adapter I found for it is for the iphone 5. Nothing for a digital camera or PVS14.
Also in the running is Vortex 20-60x85 Razor HD. There are plenty of adapters for a digital camera and iphone.
First I don't even know if I can even use my pvs 14 and look through a spotting scope. Don't know why I couldn't but if you can, is there a adapter for a spotting scope? Or another spotting scope I should be looking for?
If asked later, my primary use would be for shooting 1000 yds and less.
For digiscoping: Up to 1000 yds and better, Bald Eagles mainly. But maybe taking photos of the moon once in a while.
Using the nightvision: 800 yds and less, but using a TNVS Torch Pro. Never measured how far the IR can reach, so that would be my limit at times.
Thanks
