Definitely helped me figure out that it won't fit where I hoped it would. Thank you. Figured I need mods to my little man closet. In your opinion, could you put it under a 12" shelf (fill tube) or would that be better left in the open?

It could be put under a shelf, they will be a few drops that are under or over that you have to do something with, I just pour them back in the fill tube. I guess you could have another container to put it in. Find a place for it, it is well worth it..
