I've shot Anchor Stations new mws and it does shoot well but damn if it's not a serious pig. How much weight do you think could be saved if I were to dimple an mws barrel?

I had the same comment on the OBR. I was told to go to the gym and harden the fuck up. Funny answer but I took it as the truth.

I don't think you would notice a change with dimples along the barrel.

Yeah, I'm not interested in those "pussy" comments either... I'm not a small guy but it doesnt mean weight isnt a consideration.
I was guessing 1/2lb-3/4lb. Too me it'd be worth it if it was that much.

Even if the dimples, or fluting the barrel would take half a pound. I would be surprised. The bad thing about LMT rifle barrels that are modular they are also only available from LMT.

The rifles aren't that bad when they are vanilla. But once you start adding optics, lights and so on. It really adds up.

I wonder if LMT is going to offer a lightweight barrel some time later. Its weight across the board once you setup to .308. The rifles, mags, ammo. Limited amount of ammo due to the size you give up compared to .223. A lot to consider.
