.....by changing their names, because they " promote racism"....aren't they just admitting to promoting racism for 99% of their careers?

It's not like the words have changed meanings....so they must have known full well they were promoting racist ideology when they chose them, and when they actively kept that name for years.

Rather than saying " no, our name doesn't promote racism, so we're not changing it"...because if you've done nothing wrong, why apologize and change your name?

them capitulating is them "admitting guilt".....so why has no one called these obviously racist bigots out on it?

Nah, they're not admitting guilt. The issue is all this naming or name calling and such is meaningless nonsense. For example, these protesters are calling all these leftist politicians facist, lol really, they call everyone that doesn't agree with them a facist, racist. So these words have no meaning anymore. So now when you change a product name because racism it's just meaningless. It's more of an appeasement thing in hopes of avoiding sales loss from cancel culture.

well yes its obviously pandering.....but why are we letting them get away with pandering?......why hasnt anyone on our side called them out for it?

ask them plain and simple why they supported racism and inequality this whole time.....then when they deny doing that....ask them why they then felt the need to change their name if it wasnt offensive....

frankly ide love to see them talk in circles to avoid answering the questions.

    I...

Have never listened to the Dixie Chicks.
Have never listened to Lady Antebellum.
    >>> Current country music is garbage anyway.
Don't buy Aunt Jemima or Mrs. Butterworth's (which isn't actually syrup).
Don't watch or care about the NFL... boring to watch (constantly stopping).

    But...

I do love me some Uncle Ben's. And I really don't care what they rename it to. Still gonna be the mushy, fast-cooking, relatively healthy-ish rice that it is.

Black people are unhappy that black faces and likenesses are being used to make billions in profit for major corporations while black wealth continues to decrease against white wealth (in a macro sense). You can argue that Aunt Jemima, Uncle Ben, Mrs. Butterworth, and the rest aren't racist, are a positive thing, and so forth. And you can argue the opposite. Companies changing brands, sports teams changing names/logos... who cares.

Worry more about your 2nd Ammendmant rights, which, if Biden is elected, will be chipped away faster than they ever have in the history of this country.

Worry about what another 4-years of Trump will be like if he's elected, because no matter how "good" the economy was before COVID, it was a bubble propped up by low interest rates just like Obama's economy and it could not last. It was already showing signs of breaking in critical metrics. And for whatever reasons - fair or unfair - he's losing it at the same scale as Biden, just in different ways.

WE HAVE FEW LEADERS WORTH HAVING AS LEADERS!

Worry about our ONLY two party system that FORCES someone to polar sides.

Worry about free speech. I mean real speech. The speech you feel comfortable talking about here among friends, but not "in public". Like Ben Shapiro being threatened on campus. Like Candace Owens being called "a threat" to black people because she espouses individual responsibility.

    Worry about China.
    Worry about Russia.
Worry about both of them exerting their version of influence in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Worry about CAREER POLITICIANS and getting them the fuck out of office, regardless of what party they're in.
    Run for office yourself.

Nobody is solving shit by bitching about it on a forum.

Forget the statues. You can remember that time in books and in museums.
Forget the brands. You don't need them anyway.
Think bigger. Pick the right battles. The big rocks.

And part of thinking bigger is realizing that maybe some symbols/images have had their time. Moving on from the name and face of Uncle Bens doesn't harm you unless you let it. But it does - to them - harm some black people (and especially "woke" young white people). Why are you worried about it?

The ONLY thing that matters, is directly the Constitution. It is being held up by 2A. Only being allowed bolt guns (unless you pay $200 for a stamp for each semi-auto you have... until they just collect all of those eventually) will not be able to hold it up long. BIG. ROCKS. Syrup bottles ain't shit.

On the other end of the spectrum, after Goya and Red Bull basically told the freaks to be woke somewhere else, they have experienced a SURGE of business...
    It's wonderful isn't it!!!!!!!!???

Though my super liberal neighbors asked me if I had any Goya beans which I just about said...yes, you want to taste some; they're FANTASTIC. You know...I have a great idea...I'm buying a 4 pack of Red Bull and leaving it on their walk!! Merry Christmas.
