DIY custom Thumler upgrade

    Here are some pics of what I did to my thumler to circumvent some of the drifting and grinding issues:

    I installed a washer on the outsides of the nylon bearings, shielding them from contact with the finger washers

    Finger washer installed on the distal side of the distal roller on the drive shaft

    installed an e-clip on the proximal side of the distal roller on the drive shaft; this roller is now locked in place

    stacked a bunch of filed washers under the unsupported end of the motor. This quiets the machine a bit, dampens vibration and allows for more positive energy transfer from the motor belt to the drive shaft; less strain, longer belt life

    Model b. The others are too small, so if u are thinking of getting one, the b is the one u need.

    Mr. Thumler told me they are going to start putting those star clips on the sides of the black rubber rollers on the drive shaft to prevent them moving over. The idler shaft already has them.
