What has always worried me about rattle can jobs on my equipment is voiding the warranty. Has anyone ever had a scope go bad and sent it in for warranty work with paint all over it?

If spray paint gets in then it wasn't sealed very well.

I sent a rattlecanned PM2 back for checkup, they didnt say a thing about it.
Call the manufacturer and ask first if you’re worried about it, I have seen some say it voids it

It depends on the manufacturer and its warranty policies. I sent in a Sig Tango6 and they didn't care it was painted.

Also, if you're truly worried about that, you can take some acetone to it and wipe it all off. If you're thorough, every bit of paint should come off and no one should be able to notice...

I have forgotten how many times this rifle has been hit with Operation KRYLON but it is more than a few! Tossed on some "weapon religion" logo lovin this last go round. haha! Krylon FTW !!!

krylon is the way to go. just touch it up over time for a new look. Can't bring myself to spray my new A5 build though...too much money spent.
