So looking at night vision goggles and monoculars and surprising finding that PVS-14 Don't auto focus . So my question do any and at what price ?

I don't think so.
They're always evolving but I don't think one exists primarily because the goggle doesn't actually know what you're trying to focus on and can totally fuck you that second where you pull your rifle up on a target and it decides to focus on the rifle 6 inches from your face and everything else is blurred.
Only fix I've seen to this problem is the ghetto fix with the butler creek caps on a single PVS14, or running a dual monocle and having different focus on each unit.

I have used them quite a bit and never had a problem with focus. When you go out, at the very begining each time I will adjust the focus if necessary and then role from there. I ise both a single and mono, and prefer a single as I like to have one eye available for terrain features. If in a built up area and using lasers then I prefer mono.

I am not up to speed on NODs and the thought of having to refocus for changing enviroment seemed conter productive . My left eye is pretty jacked so if using a monocular that is about 70% of my vision .
that is why I seldom use a dual set up. I use one and it takes about 10 seconds to adjust the focus if necessary_and it seldom is.
Refocus lens works well.......personal favorite is the Matbock tarsier eclipse since it is so easy to adjust the amount of light. Can tie shoes then shoot shit @ 100 yds with no adjustment.
Almost no one focuses for changing environment ... if someone is always fiddling with their focus, their the new guy and the team mates will encourage them to find something else to do

For PVs-14s and thermals like IR-Patrol or Skeet-IR ... focus at 80-100yds and leave them there all night.
The only exceptions are trying to read something close up with pvs-14 ... though I use 3 lumen red vis light for that myself.
Other exception is if I am point on a team and moving on foot through rough terrain (I'm remembering a boulder and downtree strewn hilly area), I set the 14 to 7 feet in front of me and left the Patrol on 100yds ... the 14 I used to avoid tripping over sh^t ... and the patrol I used to scanning. But the primary scanning job had been given to the #2 who had a hand held thermal. But again, for the time I was point and doing this, I did not fiddle with the focus on either NOD.
97% of the time when I am out, I never touch the focus on the nods.
There are some fixed focus units, but I know of no auto focus unit.
