Do you have one trigger finger that is better?

I'm right handed but I have found that my left trigger finger is much more precise than my right. The problem is that I'm so right eye dominant that my target acquisition suffers when I shoot left handed because I have to think "left eye" to get a sight picture. It can sometimes take 10s which is an eternity in a timed competitive situation. IF I can get a sight picture left handed... I can pull the trigger without disturbing the sights and I hit the target every time.

Just wondering if other people have noticed a similar thing...

I only started working on support side shooting recently and found it 1) to be much easier than I thought and 2) free from lots of bad habits. Your right finger is probably just as capable as your left, it just has a lot more 'baggage'.

Interesting thought and I think you're right... my right trigger finger had 30+ years of plinking/yanking to forget as I got into the long range precision stuff.

If you have better trigger control with your left just get you an eye patch to put over your tight eye may be childish but after a few outings it may help i have seen lots of folks doing this
