Documentary: Lejeune Water Contamination '57-'87

Re: Documentary: Lejeune Water Contamination '57-'87

Camp Lejeune was also one of the last spots in the U.S. to have "eradicated" malaria.

In the 90's, when I was getting my biology degree, malaria reports indicated a presence of malaria well into the 70's, in and around the base.

Scary stuff.....

I was stationed there (2/2 Echo; 2/2 STA) during the period (76-77) then went to the West Pac and then to Pendelton when I got back from Okinawa.

I am and have been part of the "study" for over a year. Thank god nothing wrong that we know of, but I'm one of the lucky ones.

yea for me.
