I just got a 300 WM done by Mike Crain and I put a rifle basix trigger in it. I really am not happy with it. No matter what I do it has creep. Does anyone sell a tuned factory trigger? Neil Jones I understand does excellent work on remington triggers but I think he only works on your trigger?

I don't think anybody will sell a trigger tuned by itself...probably a liability issue....they would have to set it up on their rifle and tune it...then you would put it on and your rifle will not be 100% the same as far as safety....too light of pull, drop test would be different on your rifle...if their set-ip rifle was light er or heavier..... best bet would be to find a local guy or send it out. Sucks but I don't think anybody will risk their insurance going sky high by setting a trigger and then shipping it to you with a GTG tag on it.

But maybe...check in the Gunsmithing section and see if anybody will do it.

Tuning a trigger in one rifle and putting it in another doesn’t always work. It's best to tune it in and for the rifle it will be in.

Huber will.

Can't tune a Huber.

It has something like .3" of sear engagement, so the liability is dramatically reduced.

What did you do? Did you reduce the sear engagement?

Re: Does anyone sell already tuned remington triggers?

I think I actually have a safety issue. If I cock the rifle and pull the trigger it is fine. If I engage the safety then disenage it I get creep. I going to take the trigger out tomorrow and check everything.
Thanks

Re: Does anyone sell already tuned remington triggers?

Took the trigger out cleaned it with lighter fluid. maxed everything out sear engagement and spring pressure. Reinstalled it and and worked my way down on sear engagment and then set weight. Everything is fine now. I think the spring tension was set to low for the triggers range and the it was allowing the trigger to move if the safety was placed on then taken off. Anyway seem to be fixed now with a great pull, actually better than my other RB trigger. Maybe I need to do the same thing to it:)

Re: Does anyone sell already tuned remington trigg

I sent one to G.A. Precision and had it tuned to 2.5 pounds. It was supposed to go on the rifle I had there but they shipped it back to me. I don't know if they tuned it to that Rifle or not? But they charged me $25.00 to work it over and it works like a charm. Had my trigger back before my rifle.
