Does being color blind make spotting trace through a scope more difficult

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. But I was shooting with a buddy today who color blind and when I was watching his shots through the scope I could see the bullet flying most of the time but when he'd spot for me he couldn't ever see the trace. It made me wonder if being color blind had anything to do with it. Or could it be he really wasn't looking right to see it?

My best friend is color blind, he can see trace very well. When hunting 50+ years ago he would always spot the target quicker as he see's objects were I see color hiding same. Camouflage does nothing to help to hide anything when he is around. He see's blue an yellow shades.

That's pretty interesting then. I could kinda see how not seeing color could make outlines stand out more

I’m red/green color blind. Once I learned how to see trace, being color blind wasn’t a problem. But it does require learning how to see trace.
On the other hand, depending on the colors used, camouflage can really screw with me. Some I can pick out easy, some I can’t see even if someone puts a spotter scope right on it.

Sometimes I'll screw with him when we go hunting. He has a hard time picking my camo out from the trees so I'll stand still and wait til he's right beside me to move. Tell him just seeing if a deer could see me since you're both color blind lol
