Spend the extra copule bucks and get it already prepped.

I would have went that route, but I wanted all LC headstamps.

It was a lot of work processing 1k by hand. Next time I think I'll try this guy: Custom Brass Processing

Re: Does Lake City .223 Brass have crimped primers

I received an e-mail back from Wideners - The LC Brass does have crimped primers.

Thanks for all your suggestions.

I ended up buying some once fired commercial brass from a hide member.

If you want inconsistent junk, by all means go this route. </div></div>
What's inconsistent about his brass? I've only heard good things about it in the H.P. circles....

Heard - that is what I thought. I go by experience before pushing the SUBMIT button.

I got some and it was absolute JUNK. Inconsistent in every conceivable way - headspace, trim length, necks cut at an angle, chamfer or lack thereof, neck ID, smashed necks, you name it the brass had it wrong with it in both 223 and 308.

The only guy I would trust processing my brass is Dick Whiting.

One of our clubs sent tens of thousands of pieces to RVO over a year ago. Turned into a black hole. I doubt if we will ever get the brass back, and for sure doubt it will be processed if we do.
