DPMS .308 SASS grips..what kind fit????

I have a DPMS 308 SASS and want to put a different grip on it. I dont like the "sniper" grip that they come with so I have a standard grip on it now. What kind of grips (aftermarket) fit without cutting / trimming / altering? I like the MOE Magpul but I hear they dont fit the DPMS LR models. Anyone with any info?.....(will also consider "minor" altering)....I guess....Anyone with pictures too?????

Any AR15 grip should fit just fine.

That is what I thought too but I was told that the MIAD and MOE grips need "adjustments. The part that goes back towards the stock (fits the web of your thumb / index finger)will have a large gap between the grip and lower. I am wondering if they make a .308 specific MOE grip or other grip.

I have bigger hands and love the Ergo Grip #4045 with Suregrip

It is a larger grip with the "grippy" rubber coating. I run it on all of my AR's and find that it not only gives me great one handed control when manipulating the weapon but also puts my hand/finger in a good position to drive the gun correctly.

Grips seem to be very subjective so YMMV

Have you tried taking the palm shelf off the grip? I love mine on my LR-308 but I know some people like them better after taking the palm shelf off the grip. Quick and easy fix plus its cheap if you already own the grip. JMHO

If you take the palm shelf off the profile of the DPMS grip matches the Ergo listed above. However it is hard plastic instead of the softer rubber.

This is a MOE on my Armalite...Yeah there is a small gap but if you listen to the training teaser on the home page about shooting AR10s than you will know no part of your hand will go up that high on the grip. So its just a "looks" thing. You can look at mine in the PHoto Gallery.

Gotta smokshwn, I did not know that I was trying to find a picture of the Ergo but all the photos I found only showed it from the left side and I couldn't really tell what the form on the sides looked like.

I called Magpul and they have the rubber gap insert for the MIAD grip and the guy said it will fill in the gap from the beaver tail and the lower. Should fit fine but I will post pictures when I get the parts.....thanks

I have the MIAD grip on mine and I dont have any issues with the gap being there.
