I'm sorry, I should clarify, this mark was at base of the barrel, right in front of the barrel nut, adjacent to the mag well. It will not be visible unless the handguard is removed, or if there is ventilation at that spot. My barrel also has the "DPMS 1-10" marks, I just thought this mark was interesting, and maybe indicative of a more premium manufacture. This barrel does shoot quite well, consistent 3/4 MOA with my loads.

I get at least half MOA all day with my factory cryod barrel so 3/4 wouldn't make it a higher end than their standard barrels.

Mine has a "D". I would assume this means mine had a Douglas barrel. Now she wears a Shilen.
