Almost impulse purchased one of these today. I was outbid by $5 at the last second. Now that I have a little more time to do some research, I wanted to get an opinion from some of the people who have shot and/or own one of these. There is a lot of info out there on the LRT-SASS, but not much on the Mini.

They seem like a really good value- retail is $1599 but they can be had for $1200-$1300. I am going for an SPR type build, and these come through just about how I would build one. I would want a Magpul PRS (these have one) I would want the Panther pistol grip, these are already set up with a JP adjustable trigger, I'm really not seeing the downside.

Interested in hearing opinions from those who have shot them.

Thanks,

-Bob

Re: DPMS Mini-SASS

I put together a pretty nice SPR that started with a regular lower and SS Wilson Barrelled upper. After it was all said and done, I think I spent around $1200. I'm sure I would have spent less had I bought the upper finished the way I wanted, but hind sight.

My opinion: price out an upper the way you want and buy/build the lower.

The SASS got some great reviews. Haven't heard anything about the mini. That would be my suggestion at least.

bm11-
i own one had it for 2yrs now, great yote gun, got the 1:8 barrel, shoots 69grSMK's sub moa, i run mine with a gemtech, and NF NXS, all in all i think its a really nice rifle, compared to my other AR-10s this lil guy is light and easy to pack... if you have any other ?'s pm me i'll be glad to help you out with a load for this gun.

Re: DPMS Mini-SASS

if the mini-sass is what you want then buy it . what I have found with these damn black guns is that if you dont get what you want to start with then you will spend twice as much trying to turn what you bought into what you really wanted.

Re: DPMS Mini-SASS

Well, I'm just saying that it's pretty close to what I'd build, for about half the money.

Still tossing this one around.

If it wasn't, I'd probably throw a barrel at it.
