Sure does. But then again, so does a loaded mag.

I replaced my stock grip on my LR-308 with one. It does weigh a good bit more then the stock plastic grip but it is well worth the weight in my opinion. The rifle feels 10 times better and my rifle already weighed a ton any way so a few more ounces wasn't going to kill me.

My rifle without scope or bi-pods weighed about 12 pounds or so. I am more then happy with mine. Good luck
