Maggie’s Dress Like a Brewer

He forgot to mention the requisite beard and tattoos.

I worked at a brewery for a year, and can attest that you do NOT want scalding hot water or chemicals to spray all over you. Most of the scars have faded by now, perhaps a beard and tattoo sleeve would've protected me?

I bet he would appreciate that job a whole lot more after a day of digging and framing concrete forms, wuddadouche.

I'm witcha, but I always hated breaking forms a helluva lot more than framing them. Then basically 100% of that work was being done by Mexican crews, and I can't say I missed it.

I liked footers, we just buried the forms and rocked on. The Messicans got real pissed at me when they saw me doing work that gringos wouldn't do.

I remember freaking out when I first came to Chicago and saw white guys laying block. I made the comment that I hadn't seen a gringo block crew in close to 10yrs, and my brother just chuckled and said "Unions remember, I bet those guys get paid more than nurses"
