When I put the load data from LRSS (Long Range Shooting Simulator) into "Shooter" for droid, the generated corrections do not come anywhere close to matching the come-ups on the sims range card.

What is wrong?? Thanks.

Re: 'Droid Shooter program & LRSS help

I have noticed on mine the temp correction is way off. It seems to be changing 10fps per degree of powder temp from chronyed powder temp. Should be more like 1 fps per degree from what I see. Only used it a couple times but noticed that way off on a cold day last week when I knew my 1000 yard dope was not 14.4mils elevation with my 308 and 178a-max.

Re: 'Droid Shooter program & LRSS help

It's not a game. It's a simulator of good value. The best mildot/ ranging & dope teaching aid you'll come across short of a 4 year military contract and getting a sniper school slot.

Don't knock it till you try the free demo Montana. click the link.

DFOO, i'm down sick, bad. I will get outside. And the sim is not off. It's spot on, created with Sierra infinity ballistic software, to which my FFS program agree'd with. The question here is about "shooter" for droid being on or off...

Here's Hide talk about this simulator http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=937631

Re: 'Droid Shooter program & LRSS help

Thanks to Sean of "Shooter" for droid for quick, patient & prompt support. I misunderstood "correction value" in the scope section of the rifle profile. I thought it was asking click value, when it's actually a way of correcting if the scope does not really move the reported amount.

Thanks and big thanks to Sean. Great, prompt & patient support.

Now the Shooter program matches the simulator's trajectory program.

I think I need to get a droid now.

Re: 'Droid Shooter program & LRSS help

For what it's worth, I have the "Shooter" application for Androids and it works as well as the inputs. As do most calculators. I'm very pleased with it.

+1 to Sean (the developer). I highly recommend the app; it's well worth the 10 bucks.

Re: 'Droid Shooter program & LRSS help

Thanks,

DFOO,
By far what I use the sim for is getting better/faster at this stuff IN MY HEAD. The remainder of it's use to me is to be able to pull a trigger at a long range steel target from my couch when I'm quite ill. ; ]

I was getting only a 2 mil come-up on Droid Shooter when going from 100 zero- 1000 yards for the sims .308 (real world) load. This was obviously a huge error, hence my initial alarm. But like I said it was my misunderstanding of a required input within Shooter.

I mainly pulled out the sim to get up to speed and "like the back of my hand" familiar with the Shooter program.

Thanks all.

+2 for Sean...
