" There may be a drop gun/stage gun or two in the match...Hint Hint" info from the match director for the NM PRS match next month. I'm new to the Series & wondering what this is? My goggle search didn't do me any good. Thanks in advance.

Drop gun stages are where there's a set rifle for that stage, typically provided by a sponsor, so everyone shooting runs that specific weapon for the COF. They will provide both the rifle and the ammo for it, you just need to run it for the stage.
For example, the '15 Hide Cup had two drop gun stages, one a semi DPMS I think, and the other was an AIAW with iron sights where the high shooter from the stage won the gun.

My hint...if an optic looks blurry ask to adjust, but be prepared to have 20/20 corrected glasses if they say "No adjustment".

it does until the drop guns start having malfunctions and cost shooters points lol

That never even crossed my mind... Thanks for sharing your experience! I would be pissed if I lost points due to malfunctions of a provided rifle.
Can't remember who it was but a company provided a rifle at a match a year or two ago and it had failure after failure that cost a lot of guys points. It can be tough on a rifle.
