Anyone know how of a good drop in 308 barrel for an AR? No ballistic advantage/ faxon. I found a proof but was hoping for something decent in the $3-400 range. Shaw, Lothar Walther/Spikes, Criterion or McGowan?

Our proof stainless (bolt gun)barrel had chatter marks from chamber cutting when it was new and it’s probably the most accurate barrel we have. Don’t let your borescope cost you unnecessary $. I’ll twist the knife and say the 6.5 CM BA barrel we have is also a hammer. There was a ridic sale when I was collecting parts so I figured I’d give it a shot. I think I paid less than $200 for it!I looked at those and saw a couple people with chatter marks or rough chambers. Thank you for recommending them. I’ll give them another look.
Our Valkyrie AR barrel from Xcaliber is stupid accurate.I've had good luck with X-Caliber barrels, though not specifically on large frame AR's. $365 is their starting price point.
Curious what length BA barrel and what load combo it likes? I have an 18" and having a hard time getting it to shoot sub moa consistently. Our proof stainless (bolt gun)barrel had chatter marks from chamber cutting when it was new and it’s probably the most accurate barrel we have. I have read a bunch love BA CM barrels. I do own a proof in 6.5cm. This gun won’t see much past 500 yards hence looking for a slightly cheaper barrel. The reason I’m shying away from BA is I had a non concentric bore with one of their blackout barrels and it took almost three months to get a replacement. Our proof stainless (bolt gun)barrel had chatter marks from chamber cutting when it was new and it’s probably the most accurate barrel we have. Good choice, I'd buy the 6.5CM SS barrels but I hate that lightweight contour they changed to. For the past 6+ years all my custom barrels have all had the M110 barrel profile no matter what the caliber, large and small frame.485. Another Proof is on the way.
I’ve already got one. It’s a +2 heavy barrel. Model129197. It’s been discontinued.Good choice, I'd buy the 6.5CM SS barrels but I hate that lightweight contour they changed to.
