I'm interested in trying my hand at precision tactical rifle matches. I've been contemplating a custom rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor as that seems to be a good starting caliber for competition with both available reasonable factory ammo and reloading components. However, I've recently discovered the Desert Tactical SRS platform and had a chance to handle it (but not shoot it) at SHOT. The appeal is a shorter, single platform/scope combination with caliber conversion capability.
So, my question... how does the DTA SRS platform fare when used in the precision rifle type competitions compared to more traditional rifle platforms? Is the bullpup design a liability?
I searched around the forum and have read quite a bit about the SRS, but not seen this topic addressed. If I've somehow missed an appropriate thread, please redirect me.
Thanks,
Jeff
