Ok so I have what I feel to be a dumb question regarding reloading for 9mm. I have just recently started reloading for 9mm (as in today). I do reload .223 .308 6.5 creed and .45 acp so I’ve got the basics down. Ok so here’s the question. I’ve got roughly 700 small pistol primers on hand. 500 125 jhp 9mm bullets. AND roughly 200 Berry’s 125 jhp .357/.38 bullets on hand. (I no longer have a .38 in my possession). I measured 10 of each box and they all measured .355/.357 within 1/2. Can I shoot these out of a 9mm safely with new load workup. Gun in question is a fnh 9s. I have read mixed results is why I’m asking.

If you have read mixed results then that should tell you that there may be issues.

I agree. I have about 1,000 357/38 bullets still sitting on my shelf because I'm not going to bother loading them in a gun that wasn't ever really meant to shoot them.
With Berry's and other bullets being $70/1000 or close to, it's worth just buying more of the correct kind.

Fair enough. Message recieved. I’ll just have 200 bullets I cant use along with 200 primers I’ll have left over
If these are the plated, I would have no hesitation in using those bullets.

I wouldn't use them in a 9mm. I may be overly cautious but i only use bullets with the correct diameter for what i am reloading. Most states have a firearms association website with a classifieds (as well as snipershide, but your state one may enable a FTF transfer) such as calguns.net or pafoa.org, perhaps you could see if anyone local has 9mm bullets they would like to trade for your 357/38 ones
Honestly you would probably be fine. I have a bunch of .357 coated bullets I shoot in my 1911, that are sold as 9mm bullets. I wouldn't try that with a jacketed bullet by any means, but a plated, coated, or bare lead bullet would work out.
The potential problem would most likely be significant loss of accuracy, since plated bullets are EXTREMELY sensitive to crimp. So you would need to reset your crimp setting for them, and even then forcing an oversize bullet through a too-small bore could damage the plating. All you would need to do is google plated bullet crimp or xtreme bullet tumbling to find tons of reports of this. Your gun can be putting up a nice 2" group and then all the sudden you are getting fliers 4-10" away out of nowhere.
I won't shoot plated for that reason alone anymore.
