I was planning to do a desert digital with Duracoat on a POF P308 with NP3 upper and lower. Wasnt planning on blasting everything but only scuffing up with a Scothbrite.
Now after dismantling and completely taking the rifle down I am having second thoughts. Now wondering if it feasable to do the base coat in H series Cerakote an then follow up with the different layers in Duracoat as I have the different colors of Duracoat on hand. Is this alright/OK to do? Or another possibility would be using the air dry C series over the H series though then I would have to purchase more coatings. Will be coating the Magpul PRS, grip and AFG as well as the scope. I know I am not baking the Trijicon but is the Magpul stuff able to take 200 degrees.
Note, since the rifle is taken down to parts I will now blast the NP3 off as I think I wont get good adhesion without doing so.
Any thoughts?
