Is sand blasting the best way to go about this or is there a paint remover that I can use that will not harm the stock? I used the "search" but couldn't find any info that was useful. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Once cured you have two choices: Media blast it, or scuff and paint over. We blast to remove what comes off without serious effort (to avoid digging holes with the abrasive), and roughs the surface to make a good base for the new color.
Oh, just a note while I'm still thinking about it.
Duracoat is basically an epoxy paint (catalyzed reaction cured). Any chemical that can break that down (like Jasco Paint and Epoxy remover) may also break down the resins that hold the stock together. We are generally hesitant to mention any product that will break it down because of the potential damage to fiberglass/synthetic stocks.
