Eagle Stock Pack Khaki color seem a bit too green?

Re: Eagle Stock Pack Khaki color seem a bit too green?

Me as well, khaki is definitely overtly green in most light.

It's a tint of green... I like it, it's a cool color.

I have an eagle vest, it's khaki... It has the greenish tint.

I also use khaki cordura for ghillies. Why? It seems to blend in very well. It's a neat color... I like it...

Re: Eagle Stock Pack Khaki color seem a bit too green?

I can't say for sure if it is still the case but Eagle used to use 2 different colors for their khaki.
One color is or was the mil issue Matt Johnson Khaki. My old issue stuff is all this color. Very very little green tint. The khaki color most would expect.
The second color khaki from Eagle is the civy color it has a different numeric code and has a MUCH more pronounced green tint.

I ran into it when I bought some "MJK khaki" cordura.

No it does not matter in the field where all your kit is dust covered in the first 10 minutes of movement.
If it is a safe queen and art piece then maybe.

Re: Eagle Stock Pack Khaki color seem a bit too green?

MJK was a shade of Khaki that already existed on the market. It began being called MJK after Eagle used it as the color they submitted to SOCOM when it was looking for MOLLE kit back when MOLLE was "new".

Prior to "MJK" becoming popular, Eagle use to do a color they called "Tan" that was much lighter and had no green tint to it. I think it is the same color as the lightest of the colors in the milspec three color camo pattern:

Now it seems that the khaki color they use is similar to the other green/tan shade in the dcu pattern.
