EGW 20 MOA Base mounting screws

I finally got my new EGW scope base for my SPS Tactical and of course it didn't come with the mounting screws. Do any of you happen to know the length for these particular screws? I am pretty sure they are #6-48 thread, but I may be wrong also. Thanks in advance.

Also, this is my first long rifle so I will probably be back a lot. So be prepared, and thanks for any information I learn on this site.

call EGW or the place where you ordered the base from. I sheared off one of mine remvoing the base to duracoat, they sent me a replacement, just paid for shipping.

They should be 6-48 and 0.28" in length. Call EGW. The sell additional screws and will probably give them to you if you explain the issue. Good folks to deal with.

I tried calling, but they were closed. I sent them an email also. I saw that they had replacement screws, and I am hoping they will send me some, since they were not in the package, but I have buddies coming from out of state, and we were planning getting some long range shooting in this week. I work in a machine shop, and we have a large supply of screws. I was hoping to find a replacement so I can still go out shooting until the new ones come in.

Thanks, are they .28" front and back on a 20 MOA base? I know some bases use longer screws in the back and shorter in the front, do you know if these bases are different.

longer in the back, the shorter screws are up front. Mine are alreay loctited in so I don't want to pull them.. just make sure if you are finding your own replacement screws the thread size is correct, recievers are nearly as hard as you might think, it would blow to strip out the threads on your reciver.

I heard back from EGW and for anybody else who may have this issue, the screw sizes are as follows for the 20 MOA base for a Remington 700 SA

(2) 6-48 1/4"
(2) 6-48 3/8"
