EGW or DIP Rimfire Scope Mount

So I get my new Mark II BTV tommorrow and I'm stuck on what base to use. I like the way the DIP looks compared to the EGW but I can't find anyone using it from the searches(maybe I'm just not searching in the right spot)

Top predator did a review on the DIP and EGW bases. That might help the search.

+1 DIP. The fit and finish are good and the cutout in the base makes for good access to the ejection port.

I ordered the DIP.

Even though EGW is tough to beat for IPSC/pistols, I'm not convinced they have the best conceived rifle products. I like the full width slots on the DIP and was pleased to recently learn of the beveled edges around the open ejection port.

I think I'll probably end up with a Ken Farrell over EGW for a Savage SA too, even though its 3x the price.

I just bought a EGW for a Savage SA and while it does work, I don't care for the way it overhangs past the action covering the barrel nut. This doesn't hurt functionality of the mount but it does make it so you will HAVE to remove the mount to access the barrel nut.
I have a Ken Farrell on a Savage LA and it is great.
