Electronic cell phone bore scopes....anyone have any experience with these?

I'm looking for a electronic bore scope and a friend mentioned the instructor at a recent school was using a bore scope purchased from Amazon that plugged into a cell phone, which was used to inspect student barrels. I'm interested if anyone can lend some insight. Thanks

Seems most of the $20 will plug into an Android, not Iphone. Need to drop the big bucks (joking, like $45) for the WiFi to work with Iphone.

For $20 it cant hurt. My bud can see into his chamber fine, and get a decent look at his throat/leade. I am going to give it a look before I scrub the snot out of it. 5.5mm lets it go right down my 6.5 barrel...

Didn't even think to look for something like this. And "for $20.... " Why not.

I bought the GiraffeCam off of Amazon a while back. It wouldn't focus close enough to use as a bore scope.

So for $20...worked fine. Software was way clunky and I had the camera crash a few times, but let me see the infamous carbon ring I suspected I had. About 2K rounds of 6.5 and enough carbon that I could not do a good COAL/Distance to lands check. Perhaps higher resolution, but I needed to stay at 5.5mm...and yes, the focus is best about an inch from the end of the camera. Certainly something handy to have in the tool box.

I got one for 14 bucks. For what I paid for it its great. Good for seeing crude large things like carbon rings. Smaller stuff? Forget about it.
