Hello from down in New Zealand. I am the technical director for our local range, the Invercargill Rifle Club. Our range is a traditional galley style range with hythe pattern target frames, shooting is from mounds into a backstop at fixed distances to 600 yards . We have used electronic target systems in our target frames for NRA/F class shooting.
But I'd like to offer PRS style shooting to our members, which is difficult to do our fixed backstop. We currently shoot some steel targets set in bullet catchers that are built into the backstop.
Do any PRS matches use electronic targets instead of steel?
Has anyone seen electronic targets used in portable frames using imitation "steel" target faces (by this I do mean a penatratable target) at variable distances, set up so as to maintain the range cone of fire?
Thanks
Foster
