Rifle Scopes Element Optics, Just popped up on my FB Page?

I watched the above YouTube Video and saw the announcement as well. I have emailed their support asking about the weight of the Titan and Nexus models since they don't seem listed on the website. I have a 2A lightweight 6.5 Creedmore build and also a lightweight 6.5 Grendel build I needs scopes for, so I'm curious to see how these end up.

The Cyclops video review said the Nexus was clearer than a Nightforce, which I found interesting. I don't know if that was flaming or actuality.

Nexus is a Japanese scope and is coming out first. The other two lines will be made in China and should follow shortly. I am sure the whole corona virus business is likely to have an impact on how quickly those scopes can make it here.

I plan to test the Nexus as soon as I have a chance. As far as Joe's comparison to Nightforce, I think he meant the NXS which is a rather old design and never really distinguished itself optically. I am not sure if I would read a ton into that. Newer Nightforce scopes have much improved optics.

I saw Element's prototype scopes briefly in Vegas and I expect good things, but it was not enough to form any specific opinions.

Have to keep an eye out. They responded to me with their scope weights. Enjoy...

I'd like to see a few more reviews before I bite. Sounds like the glass is good, turrets crisp and repeatable. But one review isn't really enough for me to go all in yet, I'd like to let others review and test first. For 1500 or less I could get a Leupold Mark 5, Elite Tactical, NXS, Sig Tango 6, or any other number of pretty decent upper mid-tier scopes.

Agreed. I'll let the hype machine quiet down first.

Matt’s a good guy him and Ted from Teds holdover are owners along with a few other world class Airgun guys.

They also shoot real Guns ;) I’m pretty Sure these scopes are going to be solid and track.

They often shoot out past 200 yards with a air rifle so lots of dialing.

I have an FX pcp that I shoot for training and was hitting 12 out of 16 on a 4 inch wide by 6 inch tall steel at 200 so these are not little pellet guns like your grandpa shoots.

These should be awesome for NRL22

For those air gunners reading this, what caliber is most prevalent? I have a Daystate in 177, are the 22s more common?

I'd say .177 and .22 are still much more common than the higher calibers. The cost of pellets, pellet availability, pellet variety, and air efficiency all strongly favor .177 and .22. Most airgun shooters shoot airguns to plink quietly in their backyards and .25 cal is a bit overkill for that. In terms of hunting, the higher calibers have competition from much cheaper and more powerful rimfire options.

If Ted and Matt are also part owners, it is even more reason to be skeptical of the hype they put out. I would expect them to use their platforms to talk up their own products.

I can see why you might think that but I have a good feeling you don’t know either of these guys personally.

If snipers hide came out with their own brand do you think it would be over hyped or do you think it would be quality?

You are right. I don't know either personally, but I would be very surprised if they are making these scopes out of the goodness of their hearts. They are doing it for the money and are clearly biased.

Having said that, the scopes may very well be awesome and deserve the hype, but we won't know for sure until they are in the hands of consumers. I'm just saying that I'll trust the opinion of unbiased consumers over the maker of the scope.

If these guys are willing to put their name and reputations behind this scope, then I am sure that the scopes are of relative high quality. But a couple of the reviewers are comparing them to NightForce scopes, with one even saying they are better than the NightForce they had on hand (NXS maybe?) - that i find it hard to believe. Understand that maybe they got a free scope to test/plug, but that might be too much of a stretch, too much hyperbole?

When Arken scopes first came out, there were reviews that made it look like its the best thing since sliced bread. I had to pick one up, and I did(if I could re-do, I would go another route). While it is great value for its price range, it is no where close to the upper/mid tier scopes, by a wide margin. At the end of the day, the Arken scopes are priced competitively in its price range. I will bet that after the initial hype, we will find that the Element scopes are just that, another new scope brand that is priced competitively for its price range.
