So I purchase ElftMann Savage trigger from Buds Gun shop about a week ago first 20 rounds it work perfect even following the Youtube video recommending to check for no debris. Round 21 and 22 while rechambering a round fired. Thinking it was my fault I adjusted the rifle to its max pull weight another accidental discharge. Contacted ELF Man there response was it could be a old design send it in for a replacement. Not to mention they have never heard of Buds Gun Shop I personally believe the trigger design is flawed with such a weak spring. I wonder how many generation of the trigger are floating around I did ask the manager/owner to reach out to me. I honestly just went back to the accu trigger if anyone else has had trouble are know solution I'm all ears?

Is the trigger force pull spring missing in this picture? Shouldn't there be a spring present on that stub? I am shopping replacements now for a Savage 110 Elite Precision, so your experience with Elfman interests me.

I went round and round. Tried a Rifle Basix 1 and it was inconsistent as its spring bore on the sliding safety, not on the frame. Removed and sent it back. Added a shim kit which helped remove the side play in the trigger and really improved consistency. After trying different recommended springs, and having trouble at low force settings with slam fires and failing my wood mallet blow to the tail of the reciever tests, I made an allen screw with a small washer welded to it, with the threads ground off above the washer. Sitting on it is an 0.016 spring about 0.2 OD, with a modified end to poke into the savage little hole in their reciever and I'm at about 20 ounces and very consistent. If I go much lower it flunks my tests for accidental discharges. There is another thread here on SH where a fellow managed to get his wife's down to 7 ounces and says it's safe in his tests. I was unable to get there, nor would I want it that low, but it'd be nice to be able to adjust lower knowing it's staying safe. I don't have but maybe 150 rounds through it so far so maybe the sear and trigger will setlle into each other better now with the shims repeating their mating orientations better.
