Will want to know more on the 416 Stroker . Is it something along the same line as the Tubbs 33/37/41xc case??

No sir it is different. The stroker is a 416 based on the .408 CT as the parent case. We will be cambering the first one in the next week or so. projecting the 500gr CE Lazer between 2950 to 3k

Great thanks. I am looking to go bigger than 375ct but not sure if I really want a 50 cal based case. I am thinking a 36 to 40 in barrel would yield over 3000+ AVG FPS. I am getting 3060 AVG FPS with my 375ct 400gr CE lazer using 131.5 of N570 in a 34 in barrel. From what i have seen in order to be completive the bullet needs to stay supersonic to 3000 yards. Looking forward to hearing how it shoots!

It depends on the bullet. Plenty of folks are winning competitions shooting Lazers going at or under 3000fps. You dont need speed with them to connect in ELR, you need consistency.

If you can get over 3100 vs 2800 AVG FPS lets say when shooting 3520+ the advantage goes to the speeder bullet. less time to target for the wind to effect.

At or around 3000fps is not 2800fps.

I know plenty of folks in the 2900fps range that are doing fantastic in competition. If you dont care about barrel or brass life shoot those solids as fast as you want, its your stuff. Quite frankly, even at 2800fps you can be competitive with the lazers. With BC variation in the realm of 0.2-0.3% if you do your part you're going to do well. I prefer, and its just me, to load for a lower node because it doesn't beat my stuff up and the nodes are wider and more forgiving.

There is so much more that goes into that. Speed means nothing if the bullet is not stable during its transition. from what I have found there is a certain MV or RPM that if achieved will yields much more consistent results than just the fastest muzzle velocity

I do understand what goes into ELR and what it takes to make hits out passed 2 mils. I am hoping you have good results with you cartridge. If possible i would like to not go to a 50 based case. If i do go big looking hard at 460 Steyr 40 inch barrel shooting the 575 0r 600 CE Lazer. Last question brass availability going to be. Thanks and keep us updated.

Sounds a lot like a 416 Snipetac. Should get you close to Barrett performance, with a lot less powder and more brass options
