I got one but you'll have to scour the net over and over for x amount of time until you find one. But they are out there. The one I got is an LRR-104 Mk5 made by Northrop Grumman or sold to them one.. It got replaced the very next year when eyesafe lasers came out and they sold out to another defense contractor. So these never really got used much, if at all. They range to 10k or about 6 miles and are accurate to within 5m or so at 10k. The laser is a Class4 so it's at or over the 1w output. Nd:YAG @1564nm, so it doesn't show up on NODs. It will burn out eyes though and is much more dangerous to use than a PEQ or IZLID even, so that's probably another reason it was replaced so fast. It has optical filters in the 7x scope built in. I needed one for use with .50's, rifles and M2's so that's why I chose this. That and I scored it for $400!!! Fucker cost $10,000 new!
There's a guy on here that has a PVS5 MELIOS and he was looking to sell it. It's the one that replaced this one and went for $30,000 new. It has built in night vision, gen 3, 7x day/night optic, eyesafe laser, can slave to a PLGR and give GPS coordinates of you and the target as well as elevation. It's a one and done FO tool. He was wanting a few thousand for it, if interested I can put you in touch with him. He may still have it.
I've seen these Mk5's sell on ebay for more or less what I paid, but you gotta be patient, and some other shitty LRF is called a Mk5 so you may have to search under several titles. I found this one under "military range finders".
Disregard all the stuff, the LRF is on top and has the big ass warning sticker on it (when you flip open the front shutter, it has a bigger yellow warning sticker on it). This thing doesn't fuck around, it can blast the retina off your eyeball from behind the retina! Be very careful if you score one of these.
Anyway, this is the cheapest way you'll get an extended range LRR but you gotta be patient and diligent. I just lucked out on mine, he posted it and I snatched up like 15 minutes after he posted it. Oh, another nice thing about it is that it can ping relatively small targets quite a ways out. I was pinging a stop sign 1000m out and another yellow turn sign at 1600m but both were close together in my line of sight, side by side. Still able to measure both! I love this thing and given how much LRF's run today, I'm keeping it but I may get a small pocket model if there's a good 1k+ that'll fit in the pocket and also work well.
Good luck. Regarding Vectronix, I understand they basically fucked everyone with a warranty and even kept some devices sent bac and the owners never heard anything back. Talking a lot of people here. I couldn't give 'em my money knowing that. Another brand you can check out that makes military grade hardware is Newcon Optik. Eurooptic has 'em. They make stuff from cheap all the way to $30k blue tooth LRF's that do it all.
