Suppressors Energetic Arms Lux 6.5

Got one of these in today. You dont hear much about this brand and especially the Lux, which is pretty new. The specs didnt really jump out at me on paper initially, but now that its in hand its pretty impressive. Longer than an ultra 7 gen 2 by 3/4”, but almost exactly the same weight. The 30 cal version is 300 Norma rated with a 20” barrel. Not that this is the correct can for a norma mag, but thats impressively strong for its weight. Well priced at $930. These have been in stock at @HansohnBrothers and Allen Arms Tactical for at least a few months now. I haven't shot it yet, but soon.

Lux 6.5 with included DT adapter. These have the Sico omega rear thread so a bunch of mounting options are available.

I like their whole line. They can be pretty hard to get though. Surprised Allen arms and Hansohn has so many of these Lux in stock, in both bore sizes.

On the bore size, this 6.5 Lux has a .340 end cap bore, and .325” baffles. Kinda big compared to an Ultra 6.5, which is right at .310 all the way through.

Went out and compared it to a gen 1 Ultra 7 6.5, on a 25” 25 CM. Both cans configured as they are in the pics above, with area 419 mounts.

Ambient mirage was bad while prone on the desert floor in direct sunlight. I dont have a cover for the Lux, so it was worse than the U7.

No cherry picking or adjustments. Just five shots, suppressor swap, and five more shots. Virtually identical group and poi.

Regarding sound, I cant tell the difference. Hopefully someone with some instrumentation can test one. I also shot it on a 16.5” 6.5x47. Again I couldn't tell the difference, but the Lux and U7 were both quieter than a Gen 1 ultra 5 6.5 which i run on the 47 full time.

3” of .248” rod in a .250 bore. Its as eyeball straight as the Thunder Beast is.

Great write-up! We are fans of Energetic products and try to always have them available. Allen Arms is the sole distributor of Energetic Arms and is only for dealers.

The Lux is a great middle ground between the Ultra 7 and Ultra 9 with great suppression while offering the mounting solution of your choice. I've been using a Lux 6.5 on my Bergara 6.5 Creedmoor with predictable and consistent results.

I was eyeing a lux but ended up going with a nomad ti. I do have a vox-s though and it's an impressive little can, especially for its size.

The OCL hydrogen and a DD enticer L are in another class suppression wise, and cost the same as a Lux. The U7 is well known. Not as quiet as the OCL and DD, but good, very nicely made, and more expensive.

I sold a few Lux cans, no complaints from customers, for a brief moment there, it was the best buy for sub $1k ti rifle cans.

I love my Hydro-S 6.5mm. I run it DT on my bolt-action MPR in 6mm ARC. Sounds amazing, great tone, and super quiet for a 7" can. Highly recommend it. They build quality cans and have a lifetime warranty. OCL is here to stay, so you don't have to worry about them being a fly-by-night company that violates the ATF rules (like Crux ).

Yeah that is what is driving me to get another can now. I have a Hydrogen L and KGM R30 stuck in trust jail, hoping another can purchase (that is a little shorter and in 6.5 bore size) will help bump these two out quicker. Let me know how you like that Lux.
