Gay. Just about as comfortable as knee and elbow pads...which are never worn properly and hang on the forearm and shin already. Guess these would come in handy at the PX and chow line...be like, "WHAMO" beotch, here's my ID mutherfucker!

Dude, I think even the stateside chowhall ladies might giggle at that.

But I'll bet there are those out there who would really think "Dang, that is a ballin way to carry an ID card!"

I mean, if they are being sold, then obviously there is a market for them somewhere, which means somebody is buying them, and perhaps actually using it after buying it.

I would love to see somebody dual-wristing those things though- No way could I keep a straight face.

You're not that far away from good Ol' Camp Lejuene! Drive a little ways south to Jacksonville and see if these things are a big hit. These must be really useful in the mountains of Afghanistan.

Man, get one of these, a "Tactical" Sweater and a special contractor series velcro tactictal shooters hat(with IR patches, of course) and you'll have the perfect "Spec-ops" Starter kit

Hey you guys that don't shoot timed match,
these work very well for drop sheets and mil-Hold charts when you don't have time to punch numbers in you phone or Palm

Been using a similar one for years and before that a wrist sheet that football players use for plays

These are a useful product

Fair enough. That makes sense.

I just wanted to share the laugh I had when I first stumbled across this link and imagined somebody repelling the enemy assault with nothing but their tactical armband.

I'm going to go against the grain on this one for anyone wondering what this goofy wrist band is for.
They are popular with recon and sniper teams in the military. It's a great way to keep all brevity codes, routes, etc..., on ones 1st line gear and makes for quick map checks.
Sometimes goofy things work. Look at wrist GPS's and glow sticks.

The website item review say they "make a nifty tourniquet" when worn tight enough not to slop around. Perfect for cutting the circulation off to your lower arm and trigger finger for that perfect tactile feel. BSD does make a smaller version with a snap closure that actually might be handy for a windage, elevation and cosign cheat sheet.
