@Lowlight That conversation calling a pro side and amateur side with the wind was on point!!

Never thought of it that way. You NEED to be bold enough with your wind corrections and I've struggled with this.

Kinda like putting.... you will never make a putt if you dont get it there.

Awesome ah ha moment.

This is similar to golf and reading the greens and the break, missing on the weak side or amateur side is under reading the break. Makes great sense.

Yes,

I saw Emil talk about it in his class at the Precision Rifle Expo and it really helps drive the point home.

It's about mindset,

Most shooters will adjust to the edge or just to get the hit, vs calling it to center or even a heavy Up Wind Center, which forces to increase the correction based on the target size

I'm working on the mind game prat of precision long range, and this podcast was amazing in helping me with that.

I keep forgetting to measure my targets to figure out how bug my wind budget is. Listening to you two go so in depth with this info was amazing.

Please help me better understand the conversation on movers. The discussion was with regard to the Center hold vs edge of plate. I presume that means holding the correction from the center of the plate. Correct?

Correct. Some hold center of mass (center of the plate), others hold for the leading edge of the plate. It's a personal preference sort of thing, usually based on how you learned to shoot movers.

Then you get into tracking versus ambush methods, another hotly debated argument that never gets resolved. :)
