Great podcast and it confirmed some things I was thinking about in regards to all the new tech rolling out. It’s cool, but not all options are overly efficient. When I shot steel safari I ranged every target I could find, noted yardage and got to work with my DTR scope. This is a super fast system in the right setting, and I kind of use it as a benchmark for speed. I like shooting with mils too and have a sig 2400. It makes sense that it was an efficient tool this weekend and probably is what I would have used. I’ve been playing with the Garmin but from a speed standpoint I don’t think it does much my Kestrel doesn’t. I like the convenience of an automatically updated range card for all my barrels that shows more ranges on the screen, but its pretty expensive for just that benefit.
Additionally was curious about the green vegetation and how that panned out for shooting and spotting misses so the feedback on reticles was cool.
Abel table looks cool, code didn’t work for me.
