Epoch Times: The Task Ahead, Making Heroes

Prove the author wrong.......

Not me!

The examples of bravery, honorable conduct and good practices for a well-balanced life that are given in that article are exactly the same as what I was provided when growing up many decades ago. Regardless of events in the world at large, it worked then and it works now. Thanks for posting this!

Reactions: Blue Sky Country
Read whats written under the photo to the left.

Though I may change it to:

No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making some other poor dumb bastard die for his country. Patton

Not sure I understand your point.

The article starts out talking about sacrifice, but the point of it seems to be much more about preparation and values.

The author paints a bleak picture of the present state of the warrior pool.

Our present cultural trajectory has many slated to be prey rather than predator.

Perhaps I worry about the present yet the past was no different.....

“Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn’t even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back.”
