Equal Barrel Heat Each Group (.17 HMR)

Shooting BR for group size with .17 HMR, just wondering if anyone has ever heard of or practiced shooting in the following method so that the barrel temp is the same for every group....

1) fire at target 1, then 2, then 3, and so on

2) let barrel cool

3) repeat

I think that that could work without any other variables jumping in, like wind or whatever. Give it a try.

I am going to shoot a bit tomorrow and I ll give it a whirl.

Yeah I sometimes have to adjust for barrel temp on the same target, even is it's just as small as aiming right above another bullet hole. I figured this might be easier and more accurate. I'm gonna give it a try on my next time out too.
