No. It depends on the scope you get, but the 3.2-17 is the most popular. After you choose a scope the total travel depends on the tube size. For the 3.2-17, 30mm and 34mm usually have around 90moa of elevation adjustment. The 35mm has a little more.

The EREK know shows marks for 2 full revs. 9 MILS per rev. Do they mark the knobs for more than 2 revs based on the tube you're getting?
At 90 moa thats 25 MILS and with 9 MILS per rev, that would be 2.8 revs. Does that sound right?

Shooting out to 2400 yds. I'd like to dial to target rather than holding markers. My PH's have 27 MILS when used with 45 moa rails.

When you zero the EREK you are actually moving the erector inside the body. This way you are not losing any of your travel. Its not just adjust then slip the knobs.
Ive never topped out any of my USOs so I don't know exactly how many turns there are.

Keep in mind that your elevation travel will depend on your rail. Both my USO's (30mm tube) get approx 23 mils elevation when mounted on a 20moa base. On a flat base you'll lose about 5-ish mils depending on the scope and round your shooting. I would think that a 30moa base would be needed with a 34mm tube to get even close to shooting that far and even then you may still need holdovers. Anything short of a .338 or .50 isn't going to make it that far with any hope of making a hit.

You guys have to remember that it all depends on what power scope you are running. The higher the magnification, the less total travel you will have.

The reticle will stop moving, yet the knob will still turn a few mils.

It has markings for 18MILS (you reach 18MILS at the end of the second turn) but you can keep turning it beyond that. It all depends on how you setup your scope; how much more you can turn the knob.

Actually I liked your original smartass post better but sure...I spelled "thingy" incorrectly...how embarrassing for me and my family. We'll all live in shame moving forward.
I am curious though as to which of the 3 of my USO's I "<span style="font-style: italic">don't know much about</span>". They're adjusted in accordance with USO specs and several videos posted right here on the hide by folks that now apparently don't know how they work either. Hell, maybe we all can't spell thingy but I'm quite certain we can differentiate between a reticle that's moving and one that is not.

It has markings however you instruct USO to mark it. There are also horizontal hashes under the knob that help you keep track what rev you are on.
I have my knob marked with one set of numbers so it is easier to see up close with older eyes. The knob is still a 3 turn knob.
BA, ones befuddlement with simple mechanical devices like scopes and bipods is a subject I'd prefer to stay away from. I'm sure there are plenty of other people here you can go pick a fight with.

Yes, you can have USO setup whatever EREK knob marking you want. In your case the custom knob is a single turn 9MIL knob. The hash marks were not present in the older scopes. I have examples of scopes with the horizontal hash marks and others that do not. It seems the newer scopes with the horizontal hash marks does not really allow you to use the pseudo zero-stop feature on the EREK. The older knobs without the hash marks allow you that feature. At least that is with my experience. Maybe USO got rid of that feature because too many people where breaking their scopes when they turn too hard into the pseudo zero-stop?
Newer scopes using the hash marks with the single turn marking on an EREK knob is just like using a traditional scope elevation adjustment: zero at 0-0.0 and let say you need 11 mils of adjustment then you would twist the EREK until you get to 1-2.0 MILS
On the older scopes without hash marks but has double turn markings and pseudo zero stop: I set the zero stop right on the zero so I just twist until it stops and it will be zeroed at 0.0 and if I need 11 mils of adjustment then I twist past the 9MIL mark and keep reading the knob since there are markings past that until I reach 11.0 MILS. Being able to do that is what makes the EREK knob unique in my opinion.
