I also think whoever designed that messy, busy website should be fired. Its awful.

More awful is that my account is fubar'd. I followed the directions to reset my password and zero email with the PW reset link. And, I went thru the process to get into their VIP program as I'm a vet (I believe I just sent them a copy of my DD214).

I sent a message to their CS....let's see how much of a PIA it will be to fix this. I like Eurooptic but so far this looks like a total fuckup as far as my account.

This happened to me. Nuke’d my account and years worth of history. Made a new account and kept getting server errors trying to submit for VIP pricing again. CS didn’t seem to want to handle it and I was told it was sent to their IT person and it was left at that. Haven’t heard anything since.
 
The new site is absolutely terrible to navigate on a phone. So little is visible at any given time. And you can’t even set it to desktop mode in the browser. It’s just crap mode.

Yeah, there was no way to actually submit documentation for the VIP pricing. Literally no button. My account worked after resetting the password, but my discount was gone.

Then how did you reset your password?

If you are logged in, you can reset PW but if you got logged in then you don’t have to do it.

For those of us who have (had?) accounts and could NOT log in, we had to follow the link to reset PW which sends an email with appropriate link(s). But myself and others never got the email despite repeated attempts.

Just another fucked up migration. Sigh

Was not aware of this just tried logging on. Said change password did it on my note 10 easy peasy took all of 2 minutes. My order history is there they do say only 2 years history is saved and if you haven't ordered in 2 years it's new account for you. 🤷‍♂️

Ah, I misunderstood your post. When you wrote “and I did so” I thought you were indicating that you successfully reset your PW.

Sorry for the bother.

And I might just give them a few weeks to get their act together and try it again. I think right now their web support guys are pounding Red Bull while pulling out their hair.

Sort of wonder how bad a hit to their daily sales numbers they’ve taken from this cock-up this. Wow.

I have not dealt with Europtics but this problem reminds me of the recent software changes of city building inspections department.

It went to being full-proof with leaving voicemails that someone would type into inspection requests to now having glitchy computer systems that can be slower than a glacier to downright not workable.

People justify a paycheck by fixing something until it doesn't work anymore and then leaving it that way.

Aftet hearing it was legit I made the mistake of resetting my password and logging in. That simple password reset cost me over $3k.

I was lucky and got my stuff retrieved. Not much hassle, other than having to reset my password to the same password :D .

Usually you'll see a couple headaches with new website launches. I don't think you'll see anyone more concerned than EuroOptic themselves, as that will translate to lost sales.

Give it a couple weeks.

I’m really trying to understand the problem. If you wanted a new rifle scope, it clearly states Shop Optics. Then it has a picture of a rifle scope and it’s labeled Scopes. Then another picture of a rifle scope and it’s even labeled Riflescope. I click on that and it takes me to all the riflescopes they sell. It literally could not be any easier.

For me. I filter the products I'm interested in then sort by parameters. Every time I click on a item and back out, the filters and sort disappear. So I have to reapply the filters I want and resort every single time I look at something and try to go look at something else. PITA.
