Although, a federal court just ruled serials numbers on guns requirements are unconstitutional, so I'm actually good with it if it's applied universally.

There’s a term for these things - like those convenient little packets of druuugs that suddenly appear as evidence against you when they want to do you in.
And as soon as bullshit serial numbers no longer get anyone fed time I’ll agree .

Unfortunately, locks only deters a thief for a couple seconds and then they bust the window. I have to admit I’ve left my truck unlocked a few times with a rifle or two in the cab. Fortunately I got away with it…

However, when I travel I throw a jacket or hoodie over the truck gun.
I may have 4-6 in the truck on any given day. There's 2 that never leave it. They have no reason to have defaced serial numbers though...

Not since high school. Had a 30-30 in plain view in a back window gun rack. Didn’t even roll the windows up. The good ol days are over with
I spent 6 miserable years as an insurance adjuster and EVERY broken glass/smash and grab claim the car or truck had gun company stickers in the back window.
