So way back when I was in the Corps, we knew of two things: Chandler (IBA) rifles and Leupold scopes. After I'd gotten out, I hadn't really done much in the way of shooting for many years. Finally, in '05 I'd wanted a tactical rifle. I remembered IBA and so with my limited budget, ordered one of their Tactical Precision Rifles (pic #1) with a Leupold scope....then I found Sniper's Hide.
Picture #2 was the same rifle, with some paint. #3 is the rifle with it's new A4 stock, new scope rail, Badger bolt knob and Badger rings. Pic #4 is after I'd sent if off to get bedded and the barrel cut from 26" to 20", and finally, picture #5 is the rifle now with a Bartlein barrel, heavier recoil lug, trued action, bedded, DBM, SWFA HD 5 - 20 scope, different Badger rings, and a bubble level.
I think the only thing left original on this rifle now is the bolt and action/trigger!
It's been a long, fun process and I'm sure I'm not done yet. Thinking on a break or suppressor next.
