Excellent creedmor loads

I did some searches and couldn't find a single source of info. Sporadic tidbits here and there. So, what have others found works with the 6.5? Accuracy, bullet effectiveness on game at 6.5 CM velocities, etc.

I've noticed a tendency for accuracy loads to be heavier, 140 for example. I have a box of factory 140 ELDs to try, along with a box of 120 GMXs. Right now I'm leaning towards a 123 or 139 Scenar, 130 VLD for plinking to ~750 yds and possibly deer and antelope (at less range).

143g ELDM and RL-26 is stupid accurate in my buddies new CM and fast...2910 out of a a 23" barrel.

No magic here, easy cartridge to load for. 140’s just happen to be what most use for long range.

I really like the 139, but for way less money you can buy a bullet like the 140 eld (or any other ELD), which spanks the 139 in BC. I’d also recommend just shooting one bullet, as opposed to one for short range and one for long range, there’s just no need.

I use the 140ELDm out of my 6.5 for everything from shooting steel to shooting elk. Proven to be an effective projectile for sure.

I'm using the Hornady 147 eldm with Rl26 with a factory xbolt. Seeing consistent 4-5 shot groups in the .5"-.75" range and 2730 fps.

QuickLoad tells me you are close to pressure max.

RL-26 is temperature sensitive.

Watch for pressure signs in Summer.
