My father has some land up in Northern NM and has had some trail cameras on it around feeders and such. He hasn't been super happy with them. I'm not really up to date with the tech and I'm getting mixed reviews on google. I don't get the feeling expense matters much to him at this point.

Some of things that are important,

Quality images, long battery life/solar powered, ease of use. Maybe WiFi/Cellular. Durable.

These cameras are likely going to be mounted and in places for months if not years at a time.

Anyone have any recommendations or experience?

Thanks in advance.

Been through just about all of them. For longevity, ease of use and durability I keep coming back to Reconyx. They aren't the cheapest but they're the most dependable camera's I've ever used. I've got a couple that are over nine years old and they still work like the day I bought them.

browning makes the best all around cameras that do not send photos via cellular connection. Fast, great camera quality, great night time sensor distance, great battery life, easy to set up.... if you don't want the camera to send pictures via cell service...browning is the best option.
