Corner of "Walk" and "Don't Walk"
I am looking to buy a Bushnell DMRii. I qualify to go through expercity for their discount, but I am wondering if one of our Sniper's Hide vendors is authorized to sell this scope with the same discount. I have looked at Sport Optics, but I don't see that they handle the Bushnell brand.

It depends on how you qualify, as experticity has many ways to qualify for discounts.
It would be best to contact the hide vendors and ask them.
I would check with CS Tactical and Liberty Optics.
Other than that, as has been said, don't discuss in public.

Part of the terms of service for each vendor on experticity is that you don’t discuss it publicly. It’s probably best to abandon this thread.

Honestly, I see nothing wrong with the question. OP did not breach any confidence, or discuss his discount.

As a new dealer, I am happy to discuss privately any 'hide discount. I do not handle Bushnell, but I am sure others do. For Steiner, NF, S&B and Kahles, PM me. Same for Cadex and some semi-auto brands.

I don’t see anything wrong either. After all, the whole concept of “Experticity” is to offer a discount. What confidential or proprietary information was the OP disclosing?

Sounds more like an “Expercity” advertisement if you ask me!:p:giggle:

As long as he doesn't go posting the prices of his discount then I'm not thinking there was any problem...

The guys that jump up here and say "I can buy this ($$$$$) scope for ($$$) from (vendor), is that a good deal?" Are the ones that are screwing it up.

The way his question is posted as of now looks like he was thinking appropriately that only the other people who qualified for the discount would know the price

I could not find a vendor who could match the military veteran discount, so I ordered a DMR 2 H59 Sunday. Not willing to spend the difference to get a XRS 2.
Well you just bought a scope that will be technologically obsolete soon for a premium price. I still rock 2 old dmr's and the glass in the xrs2 is a massive jump along with better mag range. For the price difference, the XRS2 is the only one worth buying. They are releasing a new dmr with prime glass soon hence why it's worth waiting.

If he got it at the discount, the price is pretty good and the price between the two is substantial, especially if he is on a budget.

In my OP I asked about hide dealers who might match the veteran discount. I could not find any that carried the Bushnell DMR2, in stock, that could help me. I looked for quite a while, and I requested help on this.
Scott at Liberty Optics didn’t have any? I’d say if no one has them then there is no issue with buying from Experticity, I’ve purchased from them with good experiences

Just remember that @wjm308 has also purchased SO MANY scopes he might be getting better prices than the rest of us when he calls!

He is correct though, I've purchased a couple from Experticity during "events" that I couldn't beat anywhere else... But I've purchased from a few vendors on here that beat them, not to mention some that gave me some stellar prices on other items to go along with the purchase. When you start adding in the extra you can save on the rings, a level, a new rear bag, stock, chassis, or the suppressor you were thinking of buying, etc etc etc buying from vendors starts being a CLEAR winner over just the scope.

Trust me, there are plenty of shooters on the Hide who buy a heck of a lot more scopes than I, I just like to review them and share my findings with the community, to help them out and to help me out. I'm not sure if I get "better" prices than other Hide members as a little common courtesy goes a long way and I go by the philosophy of "it doesn't hurt to ask", there have been times where I've seen a killer deal somewhere else and I'll ask one of the Hide dealers, "hey, so and so is selling this scope for $$$, can you match or beat that price?" and quite often they can. Even with LEO/Mil discounts its worth contacting a Hide dealer and asking as there have been times where I've got a better deal than the LEO/Mil so it just depends.

FWIW, One place I’ve consistently found better prices that experticity is the PX here. I cannot remember the last time I bought a new scope other than “new” from another member here.

I have nothing against vendors, but when I can get one “like new” for hundreds below their best prices, I take advantage. Not all of us are privileged enough to afford high end new scopes, and I certainly appreciate good deals we can get from those who are on their used stuff!
