Looking for some input/advice on Surgeon's DBM. I'm putting together a new build and their DBM system caught my eye. I like the low profile mag release, and it looks like total quality, but is it worth the hefty price tag? Being about $125 more than the Badger, I'm curious if it's worth it. Thanks!

Yes. It is worth it. But I'm not sure where you're finding the badger for so cheap. Their MSRP is on par with the surgeon product. I picked up a surgeon recently and I like it. A LOT! I knew t would be good but, even then, I was still impressed.

Surgeon DBM is way better than the Badger, IMO. I would spend the extra cash to have it!

+1 for Seekins. Especially if you're planning on a 338 LM build. You can seat the Bergers way out there and they still feed in the mag. Love mine.

There's other DBM's I could use and can get one of them for under $100. Having said that and knowing what I do, the Surgeon DBM is all I use and yes, it's worth every penny.

Roscoe built my rifle with the surgeon DBM. Have messed with several different types of dbm's but the Surgeon has become my favorite.
100% recommend it.

I have both Badger and Stiller DBM and I have played with the Surgeon.
In order of preferance it goes Stiller, Surgeon, and then Badger.
The mag release on all three are easy to operate and I have never accidentally dropped a mag. Both the Stiller and the Surgeon have a large beveled mag well with a guide that is quicker in my opion during mag changes. The Stiller is a bit cleaner looking to me and the mag well protrudes all the way around where as the Surgeon has a front and a rear guide. Although I have little experince with the Surgeon it would seem to me that you could get a hang up on the edges easier then the Stiller. This is just assumption though due to my little experience with the Surgeon.
Both the Stiller and Surgeon protrude from the bottom of the stock though so if low profile is your goal then Badger maybe the way to go.
