Can anyone share their experience with their Volquartsen Scorpion pistol? I'm trying to talk myself out of ordering one, since I have a 22/45 Lite, but am really lusting after the Scorpion. The battle worn NiB coating looks pretty amazing, and although it's expensive, if I sell the 22/45 I can swing it. I'm 90% there, but I thought I'd see if there was any feedback from you guys since there are only a handful of reviews online and they are pretty much all positive. Thanks!

I had the precursor to the Scorpion, the LLV. Same kind of thing with a tensioned barrel and integral rail. It shot well enough but the fit and finish did not justify the price. Things may have improved on the manufacturing side though.
Look close at the battle-worn finish and you'll see that it's just someone scuffing up the coating with a scotch-brite pad. (And then, they couldn't even keep the "wear" going in a single direction.)
A Tac-Sol upper can do the same thing and lets you use your lower (in case you have all the action upgrades already in place).

I have a 4.5" scorpion with iron sights and a 6" scorpion with a little vortex red dot. I have a mark 3 hunter than I originally sold to fund the purchase of my first scorpion. The fit and finish is phenomenal. Accuracy is mind blowing. Both pistols eat any and all ammo I put through em, but they love CCI standard velocity.

In short, I like them a lot and highly recommend.
